This app is quite a nice looking one. The purpose of this post is just to introduce this social media (plus messaging) app to you. I am still in the process of inviting some friends to use the app so I can demonstrate the other features. But for now, this is the initial review.

This is how the Home part looks like (above). There are several options to choose from: Chats, Calls, Contact, Timeline, Spot, SOS Places, Social and My Account.

If only I had friends on here (at the time of writing), I’m sure I’ll be able to demonstrate the above features better. 🙂 Now let us just move on to the other features.

One of the best features are: 1) ability to spot friends nearby 2) send SOS messages 3) get a list of places to visit such as restaurants and shops and also events that are happening near you. You can also join and interact in different communities within the PeN app. You can also earn PeNNey while using the app’s features. Earning more will give you more chances of winning prizes!

You can easily navigate within the app due to this nice looking sidebar. Also, you can edit your profile in any way you like. Although my review is limited, I think the features are really useful and I cannot wait to use them. I’d have to get my friends to use it too!

Try this app! 🙂

Word Cloud app review

Today’s review: Word Cloud version 1.5

Google Play: Word Cloud

wordcloud1First these are the features (copied/taken from Google Play):

Prepare an opening slide for your business presentation. Whip up a creative status update for your Facebook page. Type in all the best wishes in a birthday greeting card for your grandma. Proudly tweet an image with your sport achievements. Perhaps, even list your skills for the CV.

Just enter a few words, and the application will shuffle them around in a cute disorderly fashion. Pick a color or two for your meaningful words, shape them, export them, use the pic. Rinse and repeat.

It’s absolutely free. No ads and no annoying popups.

Your creative process:
• Enter as many words as you like.
• Select up to five different word colors for a fresh look.
• Choose the right background color. Yellow words on a black background or pink on white?
• You can even make a transparent background!
• There’re many shapes to frame your idea. Star, Christmas Tree or Heart – and many more!
• Pick one or several fonts, just like colors.
• Looks great, doesn’t it?

Picky? There’re more options:
• Word sizes can be customized! First one is only for the first BIG word, and others – for everything else.
• Want more than one BIG IMPORTANT word right in the middle? Check additional options on the Enter Words screen!
• Hint: you can rearrange words order on the Enter Words screen: just drag-and-drop them.

And when you’re done:
• Export the picture to a high-quality PNG.
• Share the picture with your friends directly from the app!
• Or post it to a social network – again, directly from the app.
• Don’t forget to save the result. You might want to get back to it later! 🙂

***********************

This app can arrange your words into a certain shape (cloud) which you can use in any way you want! This is perfect for social media posts!

First you need to select the words. You also have the option to change the color, size, shape and font of your word cloud.

I made one related to my app review blog:

Here are some other samples of shapes:

You can easily share, export, and save the image.

Try this app! It adds spice to social media posts and articles! 🙂

Screenshot app review

Today’s review: Screenshot version 1.2.21

Google Play: Screenshot

screenshot1Features (taken from Google Play):

This software provides a easy method to take screenshot, and the following functions:

– Share Screenshots
– Press the power button and volume down to take screenshot
– Set the path to save the screenshot
– Screenshot display, you can decide to save or discard screenshots
– Trim the captured screenshots
– Painting on the screenshot
– Add mosaic
– Add text
– Browse and edit all history screenshots

*********************************

As we all know, smartphones already have the feature to do screenshots. I like this app because it is easy and convenient to use. After pressing the keys to activate screenshot feature (Power button + volume down or Power button + Home  button), the app automatically takes you to a new window wherein you can already do simple editing.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The editing tools includes mosaic (successfully blurs anything), cropping/trimming, adding text and freehand drawing/painting/doodling. I took a screenshot of my Instagram profile and tried all these tools (photos above). This app is a great help since I do not need to open/switch to another app if I wanted to do some basic edits. This is perfect for me because I do screenshots a lot (for my app reviews) and I am quite content with the functionality. You can opt to activate the notification icon (found in the settings).

I hope they can add an Undo button so you don’t have to take a screenshot again in case you make a mistake in editing.

Try this app now!
