Calorie info: Each recipe is equipped with it’s complete nutritional details so you can plan ahead a healthy meal by gauging your calorie intake.

This app basically gives you free recipes. It has many features such as the recipe book, shopping list, shake n’ make, snap n’ cook and get inspired. These features caught my attention, although I do not know how to cook (haha).

Here are some of the recipe categories that are available in the app. I cannot show everything here since there are lots of categories.

Here is a sample of one recipe (pad thai). As you can see, the app provides you with the preparation time, cooking time, number of servings and the nutrition details. Great isn’t it? You can save the recipe by clicking the “heart” symbol. The ingredients and directions are listed at the bottom. Suggestions for other recipes are also listed at the end.

Another nice feature is the Shake N’ Make. This is very handy if you do not know what dish to cook using the ingredients you currently have on hand. You only need to select the ingredients you have and then shake your phone. The app will then give you recipes that you can use to cook the ingredients that you have. Amazing!

I did one example here: I selected pineapple, orange, mango and strawberry. The app gave me recipe suggestions such as sorbet, salsa and smoothie.

The last feature is the Snap N’ Cook. It is similar to the Shake N’ Make, but you will snap photos of your ingredients and the app will detect your ingredients. Shake your phone and then get recipe suggestions. I haven’t tried this actually, but will do this as soon as I am able.

I have been playing this game for a few days now and it is kind of addicting. In this game, you play as a vlogger who is in the quest to be the next internet sensation. Basically, you just upload videos according to the trend. Do not worry, you do not actually need to do a video (haha!).

First, I chose my character and the name of my video channel (I just chose purple as my channel name, couldn’t think of anything good at the time). This game looks adorable and cute which is why this app caught my attention.

The next step is to choose a topic which you think will trend. After choosing the topic, you will have to wait for a certain time duration until your video is finished (this is the waiting time, you do not need to do anything related to the video). The longest time I waited (as of now) is an hour. There was also a video where I waited only for 30 minutes. I am not sure if this is consistent all through out. After waiting, the app will notify you that your cideo is finished and you can now publish it. The results will show you the “percent trendiness” of your video. So in the first video, I got 100% – I think all of us will get 100% for the first video haha. My succeeding videos never went beyond 50%. I am still getting the hang of this game.

You will also have to judge comments that come in (responses garnered through your video). Some of them are nice while others are mean and nasty comments. You have to sort them out so you can earn money.

For every published video, you gain money. You can use the money to market your channel to people. You can invest in word of mouth, social media, radio and magazine advertising etc. This really seems like simulating or mimicking real life vlogging haha. Well, I do hope the number of views can be easily attained in real life though. You can also buy and upgrade your studio equipment.

Also, there other vlogger out there (not just you) so you can visit their channel if they announce a live streaming video.

In the photos above, you will see these floating things: the coffee and.. I don’t know what that is (the left photo). The one on the left gives you money and the coffee gives extra energy. I forgot to mention that you can decrease the waiting time (video making) by tapping on your screen. So if you drink the coffee, you must tap the screen many times and the waiting time will decrease twice as much as the normal tapping.

I found this awesome app while browsing Google play. It is highly rated (4.7 stars) as of writing. So curiosity got the best of me so I downloaded it (is that a pun? haha). Basically this app allows you to explore, read, and watch videos on different topics, facts, and trivia. Almost any topic available is listed here.

After this introduction, the app will take you to a signup page.You can easily sign up using your account on Facebook, Google, or Twitter. If you don’t want to signup using your social media account, you can opt to sign up using your email. The app will then ask you if you want to activate push notifications.

The main app interface includes 3 tabs for 1) Daily, 2) Subjects, and the last tab is 3) your account. You can swipe up, down, left, right to view different topics and trivia.

The Daily digest tab looks like this:

The last photo above (bottom right) is the full article which you can access if you click the bottom part (with the arrow pointing right) of a certain digest. You can also like/”heart” certain digests that interests you or have caught your attention.

Besides providing random daily facts, you can also choose to read stuff based on the topic. There are a lot of topics to choose from. The photos below are just a few of these topics:

The last tab (your account) will show you the topics and articles you have liked. I liked some digests here:

Also, I forgot to mention, you can share your favorite topics on social media. With this option, you can spread interesting topics to your friends!
